Equine Dentistry
Dentistry has grown in leaps and bounds over the last 10 years. We are learning that the mouth can have a much larger impact on training, performance and nutrition than previously thought. Dr. Heide has received extensive training in power performance dentistry and advanced dental techniques such as sinus flaps, molar extractions and corrections of malocclusions.
Equine Acupuncture
Acupuncture and chinese herbal medicine as well as other complementary therapies have gained a much wider acceptance in both the general public and the veterinary medical community. toward that end we have strived to add these services to our practice and integrate Eastern and Western medicine in our patients. There are many conditions where conventional medicine falls short on providing a benefit or cure for horses and these animals benefit greatly from these therapies. Also, animals recovering from surgery, and with chronic debilitating conditions have used these modalities in their rehabilitation programs. Dr. Heide has completed his certification in equine acupuncture through a joint course from the Association of Veterinary Acupuncturists of Canada and the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society.
Equine Nutrition Programs
Heide Veterinary Services prides itself on the care of your horse from inside to outside which includes proper recommendations for the nutritional needs of your animals. We have looked into many products to come up with some sound advice for our clients. to this end we have began marketing platinum performance in Canada
